Corn

Originally from South America, corn has been growing in Europe for Century’s. Through breeding corn can be grown in colder climates, but higher temperatures are the preferred option. Corn is largely used as cattle feed as it contains more protein than wheat and more gluten than rice. Corn oil is made out of the corn germ. Novi Trading supplies the corn and corn products mainly from our own cultivation. We have X hectares of farming land and managing our own production and harvest ensures the guarantee quality.

 

Corn oil

Corn kernels contain starch, fiber and corn germ. Corn oil is extracted from the seeds and when the granules are ground in order to obtain starch, maize germ is one of the derivatives which is what oil is made of. Corn oil contains many more essential ingredients than other vegetable oils because it is germ oil. This typically has high levels of essential fatty acids (56%) and vitamin E (45 mg per 100 grams). The amount of unsaturated fatty acids in the oil is high and when compared to other vegetable oils, corn oil has the highest content of phytosterols.
